Katherine Heigl has opened herself about her experience of being raised in an environment that was a "white bubble" and how that realisation has impacted how she raises her adoptive multiracial children. In a recent "Firefly Lane", "Grey's Anatomy" as well as "Grey's Anatomy" actor Katherine Heigl shared that she did not care about her complexion until she got to know her adoptive sister from South Korea. When I asked Meg how she was treated at public events, whether with or without our parents, she said it was distinct. Meg said, 'Oh yes, I've seen the whole thing I've seen it all! Heigl told her parents it made her realize just the extent of her ignorance. She admitted that she was frustrated, but she felt that she had to channel this anger to support her daughters. Heigl has a son of four year with Josh Kelley, her husband over the last 13 years. They took in Nancy Leigh (age 12) from South Korea and Adalaide (age 8) with a black complexion, in 2009.
